Belly Sweets ™ wants you to have a sweet tummy even after you purchase one of our high quality belly button rings. Keeping the area clean around your belly button piercing is one of the most important ways to keep from getting a belly button ring infection. Please ensure you show attention to important follow up care steps after you receive a belly button piercing.
Belly buttons rings are an elegant part of a healthy belly. The following belly ring cleaning regimen should help you maintain a clean piercing. If you have questions please contact your Doctor or a local nurse hotline.
- Soak the area around your belly button piercing in a diluted salt & water solution for 5-7 minutes to cleanse any dried material from the wound. Please do not poke or rub the area.
- Clean the area around your belly button piercing using gentle patting motions around the area and with a mild antibacterial soap. Gently use your fingers to rotate your belly ring (which for a new piercing is usually a captive-ball type ring) for at least 60-90 seconds.
- Rinse out the piercing thoroughly (make sure you get all the soap out).
- Make sure the area around your belly button ring is patted dry.
You should perform the above belly button ring cleaning regimen twice a day. Note: If you suspect your piercing has gotten infected, see a qualified medical professional immediately!
